American Legion EmblemPost 110 was charted in 1919. The post operated from many locations prior to our current location which was dedicated in 1955. Post 110 is named for Owen Barrett. He was the first casualty from Isabella County in WWI. Mount Pleasant Legion The American Legion Owen Barrett Post #110 Michigan Department was chartered to serve the community of Mt. Pleasant and surrounding area. The post home is located on the corner of South Oak Street and West Michigan Street. American Legion Owen Barrett Post #110 is a full service post and offers membership to all eligible United States veterans and their families. With over 160 post, 70 auxiliary, and 60 Son’s of the American Legion (SAL) members, the post has a strong presence within the community and provides opportunities for the members and guests to utilize its wide-array of services/facilities (including a cozy lounge, and spacious banquet/dining room). The post has charitable gambling license with pull tab sales during lounge hours. Most of all, American Legion Owen Barrett Post #110 offers a variety of social activities and adult/youth programs - all aimed at building a strong sense of community and Americanism.
